Some background

Aston Martin were keen to express their brand value of ‘experience’ over outright performance and invited us to pitch for the launch of the new V8 Vantage.

The brief

​

Deliver a launch concept that drives engagement with their brand values and encourage a test drive of the new Vantage.

The idea

​

The experience of driving one of the world’s most coveted sports cars. From the roar of the engine as you first press the start button, to the sound of rain hitting the windscreen on a winding country road, this had to be the closest thing to driving a new Vantage for real. Achieved through a continued partnership with Bang & Olufsen.

 

In a world full of noise, I wanted the audience to be immersed in the sound experience of driving the V8 Vantage. My concept created a personalised audio journey that could be tailored and shared with others. Users could select from a number of audio categories, including; car specification, road surface, weather conditions, top speed, duration etc. and a customised audio file would be created for their unique sound experience.

The outcome

​

We won the pitch, and subsequently convinced Aston Martin of the benefits of a microsite for the V8 Vantage. We were awarded the business and built on the idea of a unique driving experience online.
